Jenna is our Patient Care Coordinator. She graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. She loves meeting new patients, and is very knowledgeable about each of the different procedures Dr. Schlesinger performs. She is passionate about patient care and will serve as your advocate throughout the surgery process. She is happy to answer any questions, assist in financing, and schedule your next procedure.
Jennifer is our Medical Assistant. Not only does she assist Dr. Schlesinger during surgery, but she also plays an integral part in patient care, helping you through the surgical process from answering questions prior to surgery to calling in prescriptions during your recovery period. Jennifer gets the opportunity to follow patients throughout their surgical journeys and see the positive growth and benefits that come with each patient’s fabulous results. When she is not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her family and watching them grow.
Jason is our certified surgical technologist who assists Dr. Schlesinger in surgery. He also manages all operations at our brand new surgical facility at Hale Pawaa. Originally from Kaneohe, he moved to Florida where he worked at a Trauma 1 Center for two years. After returning to Hawaii, he worked for Surgicare before joining Dr. Schlesinger’s practice in 2011. As Dr. Schlesinger’s right-hand man in surgery, he is an integral part of each patient’s unique surgery.
Sarah is our Head Nurse as well as our Operating Room Nurse. She has a Bachelors degree in Nursing as well as Psychology. Sarah comes from Colorado where she has experience in the OR as well as in the Surgical field. She takes care of patients before surgery and serves as our patient advocate during surgery. Sarah makes sure that you are taken care of throughout the entire surgical process. When she is not taking care of patients, Sarah loves to run, surf and swim.
Tasha is our Medical Assistant in Kona and also acts as receptionist, fielding phone calls from all islands. She was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii. She has extensive nursing training and experience both in Hawaii as well as Northern California. She has enjoyed work in the medical field on and off since 1991. Tasha is passionate about patient care and enjoys working with Dr. Schlesinger’s patients as they begin their journeys toward bettering themselves.
Meghann, our recovery nurse has a background in labor and delivery and is just right for taking care of our patients post-operatively. She holds a Bachelors in Nursing from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and enjoys seeing her patients throughout their recovery process.
Cheryl is our night nurse who cares for our patients desiring an overnight stay. A chemistry teacher at Radford High School, Cheryl also has a Bacherlors in Nursing from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and degrees in chemistry and biology as well. In addition to being passionate about patient care, she is also great company for our patients during their first post-operative night.
Dr. Carson, our Board Certified Anesthesiologist is the head of one of the largest anesthesia groups in the state. With over seven years in practice, Dr. Carson has extensive experience working with various types of surgeries. With his excellent bedside manner, he is a perfect match for our practice and patients.
