Determining which type of lift is right for you
- 1st degree ptosis
- Desire for large implants
- No visible scarring v. external scarring
- Can be done with standard breast augmentation with incisions in the armpit
- Release of breast tissue and nipple from pectoralis allows upward repositioning of nipple
- Mild to moderate ptosis
- Single incision around the edge of the areola
- Can be done with or without implants
The Standard Mastopexy
- 4 basic problems:
- Areola are too big
- Areola are too low on the mound
- Breasts are hanging on the chest wall
- No fullness in the upper quadrant
- Anchor scar
- Can be done with or without implants
