Medial Thigh Tuck is a method of lifting loose skin on the inner thighs. Historically, this surgery was performed without anchoring down to any tissue in the groin crease which led to scarring down to the inner thighs. Dr. Ted Lockwood of Kansas City was instrumental in sharing with plastic surgeons his anchoring technique down to the deep tissue, thus keeping the scar well hidden in the groin area. The incision usually starts under the buttocks fold, comes around on either side of the perineium, and up on either side of the pubic hair. A Medial Thigh Tuck lifts some of the loose skin on the back of the thigh, inner thigh, and even front of the thigh. This is the best way to create a space between both thighs, even better than liposuction. A Medial Thigh Tuck is a technically difficult cosmetic procedure which should only be performed by a Board Certified plastic surgeon experienced in body lifting procedures.
